This cult sci-fi book series deserved much more than its 2010 adaptation, one with a dismal score on Rotten Tomatoes. Science fiction is loaded with books and stories that would make great movies, Philip Jose Farmer’s Riverworld series among them. Hollywood has already taken a crack at Riverworld, but the results were less than stellar.
